ANN ARBOR (WKZO) — A suspect in the murder of a University of Michigan medical student has pleaded guilty for a second time.
Shaquille Jones originally had a deal in place last year to plead guilty to second-degree murder. However, he stopped cooperating with investigators and the deal was taken away. Jones entered a plea Monday in Washtenaw County to second-degree murder and two counts of first-degree home invasion.
Jones and two others broke into the home of Paul DeWolf of Schoolcraft in July of 2013. DeWolf was shot as he struggled with Jones co-defendant Dajeon Franklin.
Jones will be sentenced on January 21st.
