KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A women’s march and rally honoring the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has been announced for Kalamazoo this month.
On Saturday, October 17, organizers say women will gather in Bronson Park at 11 a.m. They will circle the area before heading to North Park Street, and the route will eventually come to South Street.
Organizers estimate the march will take 35 to 40 minutes in total. The event will be hosted by County Commissioner Stephanie Moore and will host guests such as Cantor Carl Ratner and local singer Cricket Alexander.
The event will take place on the same day as other national marches that will also be recognizing Justice Ginsberg.
“It is so exciting to see the grassroots support for this women’s project,” local organizer Jo “Annie” Morgan said in a statement. “We should have an excellent event at Bronson Park.”
