LANSING, MI — A simple note on the door marks the unceremonious closing of Ya Ya’s Flame Broiled Chicken in Lansing’s Frandor area.
The longtime Lansing area restaurant on East Saginaw Ave., opened in the early 1990s and served a variety of grilled and marinated chicken dishes, rice pilaf and Caesar salads. The note was posted on the eatery’s front door last week. In it the owner of the business said: “It has been my honor to serve the people of Lansing and all my loyal customers. I will always be thankful.”
Many area restaurants have struggled to recover since Covid 19. Ya Ya’s is just the latest local restaurant to close across mid-Michigan.
