KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Reinstating weekend hours, Kalamazoo County Animal Services & Enforcement will once again be open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting June 10.
“Last month we added an extra two hours on Wednesdays to facilitate services such as pet licensing, microchipping, and adoption,” said Chad Ensign, Animal Services & Enforcement Director. “Staying open until 7 p.m. once a week has afforded those with busy schedules more time to visit and get the services they need. The community has responded well and we’re happy to continue those efforts on Saturdays going forward.”
Ensign went onto say the additional service hours are a result of diligent planning and strategic efforts by the KCASE team to better align services with the needs of the community – an important going toward fulfilling their mission of responsible pet ownership and ensuring the welfares of animals in Kalamazoo County.
“We encourage everyone in the community to take advantage of the new Saturday and extended Wednesday hours. Whether you are considering adopting a pet, need assistance with licensing, or require any other animal-related services, our dedicated staff is here to help,” Ensign said.
