FLINT, MI — General Motors made some big investment news on Monday. The car company is investing a billion-dollars in two Flint factories that make the automaker’s heavy duty, gasoline burning GM Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups.
The company says it will invest the money into Flint Assembly and Flint Metal Center but is not releasing more details about future products. GM says it will sell only electric vehicles by 2030.
Flint Assembly employs over five-thousand people and Flint Metal Center has 478 employees.
