BERRIEN COUNTY (WKZO) — An autopsy is scheduled on the body of an unidentified black woman found outside of New Buffalo, near the Indiana border.
Investigators believe the body was intentionally dumped in a rural area just off I-94 Exit 4 and U.S. 12. The body was found near train tracks, off a private drive, but there was no outward sign of trauma, the kind you would see if she had been hit by a train.
It appeared she had been driven there from out of state.
She is believed to be between 30 and 40-years old.
State Police will be going through missing persons reports and would like to hear from anyone who knows of someone who matches the description and is missing.
