KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – As a part of the 12th Annual Kalamazoo Bike Week, Kalamazoo County Prosecuting Attorney, and Silent Observer Board Member Jeff Getting is set to participate in the City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation Bike Rodeo tonight.
The rodeo is being held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mayor’s Riverfront Park.
As a part of the event, Getting will announce a reward fund set up to help protect bicyclists, using the resources of Silent Observer and Bike Friendly Kalamazoo.
In a statement, Getting said, “Kalamazoo Bike Week is a unique local event with an established tradition of promoting cycling in a safe and healthy way. I am pleased to partner with Silent Observer and Bike Friendly Kalamazoo to make our community safer for everyone on a bicycle.”
Getting will make the announcement of the reward fund at 6 p.m.
