KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Another shooting in Kalamazoo.
The latest happened Thursday around 9:00 p.m. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to the area of Bridge Street and Gilbert Avenue regarding several calls for shots fired. Shortly after, a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital.
The 19-year-old Kalamazoo resident had been shot in the head. Officers scoured the area and located the scene of the shooting.
Friday afternoon the KDPS said the gunshot victim is in grave condition and not expected to survive.
The investigation into the shooting continues and police are asking for assistance from the public.
