KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Motorists need to be aware of a potential commute disrupter in the Kalamazoo area beginning on Friday, May 12.
Users of Sprinkle Road may want to rethink their route as the railroad crossing between I-94 and N Avenue/Kilgore Road is set to be completely closed on that day.
Officials with the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County say the closure will allow the Grand Trunk Western Railroad company to perform railroad crossing improvements.
They go onto say during this time, traffic will be detoured to Cork Street, Portage Road, and then to Kilgore Road.
The closure is expected to last until about the end of May.
