LANSING (WKZO) — Eleven financially stressed municipalities in the state will share eight-million dollars in grants from the state Treasury Department.
Governor Snyder says the money will go to Benton Harbor, Ecorse, Flint, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Inkster, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, Pontiac, River Rouge and Oak Township. The grants are earmarked for fixing water, public safety, and appraisal issues.
Flint will receive two-million for its troubled water system, while Benton Harbor is getting nearly one-million dollars.
