BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek firefighters are looking into what started a fire at an abandoned residence causing roughly $46,000 worth of damage on Saturday, April 29.
Crews responded around 7:40 p.m. to 239 East Michigan Avenue to find a garage fully involved with an abandoned vehicle inside, and extension into the rear of the vacant structure.
Additional firefighters assisted crews on site with command, search, extinguishment, and overhaul at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
