KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — A Kalamazoo meth dealer with links to Mexican drug cartels has been sentenced to life in prison by a federal judge for conspiracy to distribute, possess and deliver 50-grams of methamphetamine.
45-year-old Francis Damien Block was the regional distributor for the kind of pure crystal meth cooked up in Mexican super labs, not the crude and dangerous meth cooked up in pop bottles locally.
He was also charged with witness intimidation, for attempting to threaten witnesses against him. It was their testimony that helped put him away.
He was the target of a lengthy undercover investigation which ended with a raid on his CooperTownship home in January of 2013.
Investigators found meth lab components, nearly 30-thousand dollars in cash and a small arsenal of guns in the home.
