KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two new principals have been appointed by the Kalamazoo School Board of Education. The two new principals were appointed at the last meeting held on Thursday, April 6.
Kelly Corrigan was named the new principal of Winchell Elementary School and Dionna Roberts was appointed the new principal at Lincoln International Studies School, according to Kalamazoo Public Schools.
They will both begin their new positions at the start of the 2023-24 school year.
Corrigan has been the principal for Indian Prairie Elementary for 10 years and will replace Mike Hughes, who became the principal of Linden Grove Middle School in 2022.
Retired KPS Director of Elementary Education, Judy D’Arcangelis has been serving as the interim principal at Winchell Elementary School this school year.
Dionna Roberts has worked for Kalamazoo Public Schools for more than 20 years, to include 13 years at Northeastern Elementary School, and 5 years at Winchell Elementary School.
