CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO)– A wrong way driver who got on the westbound lane of I-94 traveling east near 29th Street in Sheridan Township has collided with another car at high speed, head on and put two innocent victims in the hospital.
Calhoun County Deputies say he was drunk. Deputies had already gotten reports just before midnight tuesday night from other motorists about the wrong way driver and were on their way to the scene when the collision occurred.
A young couple in their late 20’s from Jackson could not get out of the way of the wayward drunk and were last listed in Stable Condition.
The at-fault driver, a 48-year-old from Clinton Township was booked into the Calhoun County Jail to await formal charges.
No names were released.
