KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Had enough of the cold and snow? You are not alone. Americans from the Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico are dealing with far colder temperatures than they are used to coping with.
For most of us, it was different and fun for a while, but the novelty has definitely worn off after this week’s double digit sub-zero ambient temperatures.So far at least 26-deaths have been blamed on the cold snap, about a third of them due to hypothermia.
We would love to be able to tell you that this weekend warm up was going to last and that spring is right around the corner, but forecasters are saying we could be dealing with below average cold for a while because of the jet stream,National Weather Service Meteorologist Janis Laurens it appears this pattern will continue for at least the rest of February.
