KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department announced that two suspects have been arrested in a home invasion case.
Just before 2 p.m., police were called to the 500 block of Fletcher Avenue by a concerned neighbor about a possible home invasion in progress. The homeowner also called police saying that someone had broken in.
The suspects had fled by the time police arrived, but a witness was able to provide a description. Police then located a 25-year-old female and a 31-year-old male nearby, both from the City of Kalamazoo.
Both suspects were found to be in possession of some of the stolen property. They were arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, police said.
The case has now been forwarded for review. Both suspects face one count of first degree home invasion each. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.
