DEARBORN (WKZO) — As the week begins, Michigan is enjoying far lower gas prices than the national average.
AAA reports that state gas prices dropped 11 cents to $2.30 on average while they climbed 21-cents in the past two weeks to a national average of nearly two-54 a gallon.
National Pollster Trilby Lundberg is blaming a switch to higher cost summer blend gasolines as well as a strike at some of the nation’s largest refineries.
Gas at some stations in west Michigan were among the lowest in the nation at $2.15 Sunday evening.
