KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — It’s going to be a long summer for commuters who use the Sprinkle Ave. overpass at I-94. It’s their turn for reconstruction.
The design includes two roundabouts, which Nick Schrippa says always generate concern until people actually get a chance to use them, especially where there is a lot of congestion.
If you use Sprinkle to get over I-94, expect bottle necks. The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during construction.
Schrippa says the ramps will be closed during construction so if you use Sprinkle to get on or off the interstate, you will need to go elsewhere.
He says the work will begin next week, and won’t be completed until November.
