KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Northside Homeowners in Kalamazoo appear to be just as reluctant as many others to make room for the Homeless. And just the rumor that more low income housing might be coming to the current site of the old Genesis Center on Cobb Avenue attracted a crowd at a recent City Commission meeting, opposing the idea.
Pastor Ervin Armstrong of Stones Church, which owns the now empty school says they plan to hold an online session tonight to gather community input on the project.
There is a Special Zoom Community Meeting this Tuesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm. The zoom meeting is replacing the meeting that was going to be held at Stones Church.

Interfaith Homes, one of the city’s largest low income housing projects is just a block to the west of Cobb Avenue.
