BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – An occupant of a home was injured Sunday afternoon while trying to put out a fire that broke out in the 100 block of Webber Street.
The Battle Creek Fire Department says crews were dispatched just after 12:00 noon.
When they arrived, crews managed to put out a fire in the kitchen which is where the damage was contained.
The injured occupant was transported by Life Care Ambulance to a nearby hospital. All of the other occupants got out safely.
The fire caused about $25,000 in damage. The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
