KEELER TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — A man who assaulted a Van Buren County Deputy may be shipped back to Missouri to face the outstanding charges he faces there.
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault in Keeler Township and caught up to the suspect as he walked away from the scene. His hands were cuffed behind his back and he and put in the back of the cruiser where he began to kick at windows, slipping the cuffs to his front.
They stopped to recuff 21-year-old Jared Sinclair and deputies say he resisted, spitting on a deputy and injuring him by struggling.
The Deputy was treated and released. A computer check turned up two warrants in Missouri for drug and domestic assault charges.
