GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) –Lured by the big city lights? Organizers of the Waterfront Film Festival are moving their annual event to Grand Rapids this fall and off the beach.
Organizer Hopwood Dupree says their aim will be to form a new “cultural partnership” with ArtPrize.
Say goodbye to the beach parties for now.
The rebranded “ArtPrize OnScreen, Presented by Waterfront Film Festival” will coincide with the September 23rd to October 11th art competition.
The film festival has brought an infusion of new tourists and cash into South Haven for the last 2-summers and local merchants are disappointed it’s leaving. Dupree says they may return there someday.
