ELGIN AIRFORCE BASE (WKZO) — There are now reports that three marines from Michigan were on board that Blackhawk that crashed into the Gulf of Mexico.
Military officials say they have found the wreckage and the debris suggests it hit the water fast and hard, breaking up on impact.
Col. Monte Cannon says they have recovered two bodies.
Among those believed to be on board, Staff Sergeant Andrew Seif of Holland, Marine Trevor Blalock of Lake Orion, and Warren native Marcus Bawol, they were all part of a seven member special forces unit on a training mission. The Chopper was staffed by four national guardsmen from Louisiana. None of them survived.
