LANSING (WKZO) — The Office of Highway Safety Planning says we may be entering March Madness, but lets not be irresponsible.
They are working with bar owners to provide drink coasters that remind people to seek out a designated driver.
They also plan to beef up patrols beginning with St. Patrick’s Day to look for inebriated drivers.
Spokesperson Melody Kindraka says they have recorded an annual increase in alcohol related crashes during this period, which also includes Spring Break for some schools.
The extra patrols will continue through April 7th.
