KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — You will have a chance to speak your mind today about proposed Legislation that would give all employees a chance to earn sick pay.
It has been proposed in both the Michigan State House and Senate. An employer would have to make available one hour of paid sick leave for every 30-hours a full-time employee works.
That would add up to nearly 8.7 days each year.
Kalamazoo State Rep. Jon Hoadley plans to hold a town hall meeting on the idea Monday afternoon.
It will begin at 5:30 at Kalamazoo’s Main Library branch downtown.
