DETROIT (WKZO) — Ford is recalling more than 220-thousand vehicles for numerous problems.
The automaker announced the recall this week, which was prompted by issues with door handles, vacuum pump relays and sensors.
The recall mainly affects Ford Explorer SUVs and Ford Police Interceptor vehicles from model years 2011 to 2013.
Those models have an issue that can cause a door to become unlatched in a side-impact crash.
Almost 200-thousand vehicles in the U.S. are affected.
