KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo City Commissioners will also consider the creation of a 21-member Blue-ribbon Panel comprised of city residents, businesses, non-profit, and education stakeholders from the community.
Their job will be to look at the city’s current revenue streams, weigh various revenue options, and make recommendations that would help erase the City’s projected General Fund shortages.
The Panel will have a 75-thousand dollar budget and some outside advisors they can tap for information.
Commissioners will be recommending some members of the panel, and they are also accepting applications from interested citizens.
