EAST LANSING, MI — Michigan State University football player Khary Crump will serve 12 months of probation for his role in the fight inside the Michigan Stadium tunnel last fall. Crump had been the only player charged with a felony follwing the tunnel scuffle after the Spartans lost to the Michigan Wolverines on October 29. The felony charge was dismissed after Crump pled guilty to misdemeanor charges instead.
Crump told MLive on Tuesday he wishes the fight wouldn’t have happened and apologized. Crump has been suspended by the Big Ten for the first eight games this season. Crump’s attorney say they plan to appeal that suspension at a future date.
