LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer will deliver her State of the State address tonight before a joint session of the Michigan Legislature.
She says there will be no surprises as she lays out her plans to increase the tax credit for low-income families and repeal the retirement income tax.
Whitmer says people might hear things in the speech they haven’t heard before, but says she has met with Republican leaders in the House and Senate in the past two weeks and is committed to keeping those conversations going.
The speech is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
