KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — There has been another armed robbery in a WMU residence hall. This time two black males threatened a student with a gun in Smith-Burnham Hall and robbed him of his valuables…
University Spokesperson Cheryl Roland says WMU Police have a description of the robbers. They were two young black males in jeans and grey hoodies. One wore a mask. The other didn’t.
There are security cameras in the dorms and they will be reviewed, and students need to use a key card to get in, but Roland says students are not always security conscious and they let others tailgate them through the doors.
The robbers escaped down a staircase and exited the building. They are being sought.
