KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — A suspect in a murder last July on Kalamazoo’s north side had been on the run for nearly 9 months, but was spotted entering a relative’s home in Benton Harbor and arrested Monday.
Now 25-year-old Kenneth Langston has been charged with open murder, assault with intent to murder and three felony firearms charges.
Detectives say he shot and killed 30-year-old Orlando Walker, a father of three, who was standing near Norway and Church when a gun battle broke out.
Walker was hit in the chest and died. Another man was wounded in the leg.
Langston is being held without bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending a May 12th preliminary hearing.
More arrests could be made.
