KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety arrested three people Thursday night, January 12 during a narcotics bust.
The incident took place near Kalamazoo’s Northside neighborhood in the 900 block of North Westnedge Avenue.
According to KDPS, the arrests got underway when a Sergeant observed the narcotics activities and responded to the incident. While being detained, the suspects fought with the Sergeant and other officers who arrived on the scene. However, the quick response from officers enabled KDPS to take the suspects into custody without further incident and seize the illegal drugs.
The incident temporarily closed down North Westnedge Avenue as several patrol vehicles responded.
The three Kalamazoo residents were arrested on narcotics charges and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
