CASSOPOLIS (WKZO)– Cass County investigators have identified the driver and the vehicle involved in a fatal car/pedestrian crash over the weekend, but have made no arrests so far.
They say it appears that 25-year-old Duke Gowens was sitting in the northbound lane of M-40 and the driver that hit him, was unable to avoid a collision with the victim early Sunday morning.
The driver then left the scene.
They say in a press release that they have it all sorted out but won’t be releasing any of the details until their investigation is complete and the Prosecutor has reviewed their report.
