VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO) — There has been a rash of motorcycle accidents as the weather has finally gotten nice.
There was another one Friday evening at about 5:30 in Van Buren County.
Deputies say 56-year-old Chester Shirely of Lawrence was on his cycle on 84th Avenue when a sedan pulled into his lane of traffic from Second Street and the two collided.
Shirely was not wearing a helmet, and suffered head trauma in addition to other injuries. The driver of the car, 18-year-old Laura Bailey of Coloma wa not injured.
The case will be forwarded to the prosecutor for possible charges after the investigation is complete.
