DETROIT (WKZO) – A throwing error by the Royals reliever Yohan Pino allowed the Tigers’ Anthony Gose to score the walk-off run in a 6-5 victory Friday night at Comerica Park. Gose hit a double to get on base in the bottom of the ninth inning and scored after Ian Kinsler’s bunt was misplayed.
Romine and Kinsler each had two-run singles in the second inning.
David Price gave up 13 hits in six-and-a-third innings, but exited the game early with an ankle injury.
Joakim Soria got the win in relief. Salvador Perez hit a two-run homer for Kansas City.
Pino took the loss after giving up two hits and a run on two pitches.
