WHITE CLOUD (WKZO) — The body of a four-month-old girl who hadn’t been seen since Saturday, setting off an extensive search, has been found dead in the basement of her Grandmother’s home in White Cloud.
The grandmother of Natallya Rich says the girl’s father told police where to look for the baby tuesday night, after pretending for days that he had dropped the child off at a friend’s home.
He had taken the child after her mother got sick and was in no shape to care for the 4-month old.
The infant’s body was found in the basement late Tuesday night, and the baby’s grandmother believes she was likely there the whole time searches were underway.
Parents Matthew Bradley and Brittany Rich were taken into custody.
Investigators say she was cooperative and subsequently released.
Bradley is being held on a probation violation charge for now, while investigators await the results of an autopsy.
