We’ve probably all heard the line, ‘everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten.’ Apparently one of the items not covered there was cooking. Cooking is a skill many Americans are seeking to acquire as public dining activities are curtailed and families spend more time together. Meal preparation and planning has not been passed down from generation to generation for some time so Kansas State University last spring began asking consumers what kind of cooking info and help they’d like to get. The response was, ‘easy…easy…easy.’ The school responded by producing seven basic worksheets covering basic things like meal planning, measurements and terminologies. If you’re a novice to the kitchen you might want to check it out by checking Kansas State cooking basics. It’s as easy as boiling water.
