SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO) — An ugly scene in South Haven has put a baby in the hospital, and two adults from Van Buren County in jail, facing some serious felonies.
Lanna and Ryan Kish had let their victim, a young woman, legally adopt their infant child who is now 7-months old, and also left their two year old in her care for the last four months.
When they arrived at her home last Wednesday to pick up their son, she hid in a back bedroom with the two children and pretended not to be home.
The Kish’s called police, but before officers arrived he allegedly forced his way in, pushed the woman against a crib and grabbed both children.
Then State Police say he intentionally dropped the infant to the floor and left.
Ryan Kish is charged with home invasion, assault and aggravated assault. His wife is also charged with home invasion.
The adopted baby suffered a head injury but is expected to fully recover.
