SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s office investigating a shooting that took place at an apartment complex in Springfield that injured two people on Friday, December 4.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the apartment complex in the 4000 block of Dickman Road around 8:30 p.m. where they found one man being treated by family for a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
They say that another man involved in the shooting fled the scene, and that minutes later, Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch reported that another man with a gunshot wound checked into Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Both shooting victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
