KALAMAZOO (WKZO)– Two vehicles where headed east on I-94 late Sunday afternoon when the driver of a white Chrysler felt he was being tailgated and tapped his brakes.
The three young men from Kalamazoo in the second car apparently took offense, and after an exchange of obscene gestures, police say a gun was produced by a passenger in the Chrysler and a shot was fired.
No one was injured. The trio from Kalamazoo called 9-1-1 and gave a complete description of the car which was spotted at Lakeview Square Mall.
Officers from State, County, city and township departments converged on the location to take the occupants into custody.
They apparently suspect a 24-year-old from Albion was the triggerman.State Police will let Kalamazoo’s prosecutor file the charges.
