KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo is seeking nominations for the 2023 Social Justice Youth Awards.
The awards recognize youth between the ages of 12 and 19 for community service, volunteerism, and leadership for causes that promote justice and equity for everyone.
Nominations are accepted from adults who work with youth, such as teachers, advisors, mentors, or coaches. Nominations can be submitted online through Wednesday, November 30 at https://www.
The award winners will be recognized by the City Commission as part of events commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the City Commission Meeting on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 7 p.m.
