KALAMAZOO COUNTY (WKZO) — A collision between a delivery van and a Harley Davidson motorcycle has caused the death of a 36-year-old man from Texas Township.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family.
Kalamazoo County Deputies say a Fed-Ex driver was northbound on 10th St. when she stopped at the stop sign at Q Avenue mid-morning Tuesday.
She then pulled out right in front of the Harley, which was eastbound and had the right of way.
The motorcyclist could not avoid crashing into the driver’s side of the delivery van.
He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The 34-year-old delivery driver was not injured but could face citations or charges.
Speed and alcohol were not factors, but the investigation continues.
