KENT COUNTY (WKZO) –Former State House Representative Roy Schmidt has been arrested and charged for Marijuana.His family is questioning why because they say he has a medical marijuana card.
He was booked into the Kent County Jail after the Kent Area Narcotics Enforcement Team raided homes on 7th Street NW and Myrtle Street NW on Wednesday, and he was arrested.
Schmidt was turned out of office after he was involved with former speaker Jace Bolger in an election fixing scandal three years ago. He is charged with a felony, manufacture and delivery of marijuana.
