DETROIT (WKZO) — David Price tossed his second straight complete game, leading the Tigers to a 4-0 win over the Indians in Detroit.
Price scattered seven hits and struck out eight to record his first shutout since April 2012.
Miguel Cabrera provided all of the offense for the Tigers with a three-run homer and an RBI double.
Tiger Rajai Davis finished 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base.
Detroit has won four of their past five games.
Indians pitcher Danny Salazar gave up three runs over seven innings to take the loss for the Tribe. Mike Aviles and Michael Brantley combined for four of Cleveland’s seven hits.
The Indians have lost four of five.The second game in the three game series begins at 4 p.m. Saturday.
