GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) — The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center says we are living in the most dangerous part of the U.S. today for stormy weather, perhaps with a slight chance of a tornado or two. In fact it could be the stormiest day of the year so far.
Meteorologist Mark Sekelski at the Grand Rapids office says the risk of damage is much greater from straight-line winds than from tornadoes because there are more of them, but we could see a few twisters too.
He says we will more likely see hail and lightning.
