Former Vice President Pence to attend Huizenga campaign rally Friday in Portage

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Vice President Mike Pence is coming to Portage tomorrow to campaign for Congressman Bill Huizenga.

The two will be at Traveler’s Cafe and Pub on Portage Road near I-94 for a “Faith and Freedom Rally” starting at 1:00 p.m. Anyone who wants to attend must RVSP online for a ticket.

Huizenga is running as a Republican in Michigan’s reconfigured 4th Congressional District. His Democratic opponent is political newcomer Joseph Alfonso, a former U.S. Marine who now works in the City of Kentwood Inspections Department.

Pence is also expected to visit Charlotte, where he will campaign for Tom Barrett, who is challenging incumbent Democrat Representative Elissa Slotkin in the 7th Congressional District.
