PORTAGE (WKZO) — There has reportedly been a shooting in Portage. It’s very early in the investigation process but Portage Police are confirming that a suspect is in custody and a gun has been recovered.
It appears a woman walked up to the female victim in her 20’s around 7:15 this morning. in a driveway at a home at the intersection of French Bay Drive and Old Mission Street in Portage and shot her.
Witness report hearing just one shot. The crime scene is in South West Portage, south of I-94 and west of U.S.131.
First responders began CPR, loaded her in an ambulance and headed for Emergency.
The condition of the victim is not known.
