SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO) — A memorial service was held at the Lakeview Cemetery plot in South Haven where it was only recently rediscovered that the remains from victims from the crash of Northwest Orient Flight 2501 were buried.
The plane crashed into Lake Michigan before there were black boxes or DNA identification.
The remains were what floated into shore from a wreck that has never been found.
50 attended the ceremony 65-years to the day since the crash.
A large engraved boulder was dedicated so it will never be forgotten who is buried there again.
