KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — It may not be a presidential election year, but it’s still November and there will be a lot of decisions for voter’s to make next Tuesday, if they haven’t already.
While early voters get a chance to see what they are up against when they get the ballot in the mail, voters who like to do it at the polls will only have one shot to get it right. Jenny Hill, with the League of Women voters says they put out a flyer that offers some information, but it doesn’t offer up everything.
“You’ll see them in the grocery stores and around town, but that’s for the big races. The little races like school board, library board, those are on Vote411,” said Hill who voters that they can get a sneak peak at the exact ballot they will get next Tuesday by going online to Vote411.org
She went onto say that there are not only the big state races and three critical voter initiatives to decide, but judges to pick college and county board seats up for grabs, hot school board races, and even Library Board seats to fill. Add to that, over two dozen different ballot items, as many as 28 in Kalamazoo County which also has a Headlee question for voters. She stresses that it will take some research by residents to feel like a successful voter next Tuesday.
