BLOOMINGDALE (WKZO) – Thanks to tips from the public after broadcast and publication of a missing race-car stolen from a property in Bloomingdale, Van Buren County Sheriffs Deputies received numerous tips about sightings and its current location.
It took just hours to recover the distinctive vehicle.
Apparently the new owners couldn’t help but show off the hot Chevy car and now it will be returned to its rightful owner.
All Deputies will say for now is that the Pro-Street 1977 Chevy Camaro was recovered in Allegan County.
It had been stored inside a big white trailer parked at a property in the 88-hundred block of 40th Street in Bloomingdale.
The owner had not checked on it in two months. When he went back this week, the car and the trailer were gone.
The trailer has not been recovered.
